睡眠是健康的重要支柱,就像营养和体育活动一样。
睡眠有助于记忆和学习。
睡眠有助于清除大脑中的垃圾,促进大脑健康。
睡眠有利于大脑健康,大脑健康也有助睡眠。
睡眠能帮助维护和提升免疫系统的健康,免疫系统的健康也有助睡眠。
睡眠有助于免疫系统清除细菌和病毒。
睡眠有助于身体回收老旧细胞,维持我们的身体和能量水平。
睡眠状况不佳会对健康产生多种重大不良的影响。
睡眠不佳与肥胖、糖尿病、冠状动脉疾病和心血管疾病的死亡率有关。
睡眠不佳会影响免疫系统的应答,使人更容易受到感染,从而进一步降低睡眠质量。
某些睡眠障碍,如阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停和快速眼动睡眠行为障碍,与认知障碍、痴呆、癫痫发作和中风风险增加有关。
睡眠不佳会缩短反应时间、损害判断力和认知能力,其后果与酒精中毒类似。
即使驾驶员没有睡着,困倦也会影响驾驶安全。
核心信息2:睡眠健康是多方面的
“健康睡眠”不仅仅意味着“充足的睡眠”。有六个方面会影响睡眠健康,进而影响整体健康和福祉。
将“健康睡眠”分为不同方面,可以为睡眠健康倡导者提供更有针对性的信息,促进健康的睡眠行为。
睡眠健康包括以下六个方面:
睡眠时间:24小时内你睡了多长时间?
睡眠效率:你入睡和睡眠质量是怎样的?
入睡时间:你什么时候睡觉?
规律性:你有固定的睡眠和起床时间吗?
警觉性:你在醒着的时候能保持良好的专注力和注意力吗?
睡眠质量:你对自己的睡眠满意吗?
核心信息3:不是所有人都有健康睡眠的条件,我们必须重视全球不同群体之间因为各种原因存在的睡眠健康的差距,以改善每个人的健康。
“睡眠健康的差距”是指某个群体中睡眠健康的一个或多个维度和其他群体相比,存在持续的差距,近年来有大量实证,比如贫困地区的人的睡眠时间远低于非贫困地区。
鉴于睡眠对人类健康和福祉的重要性,全球睡眠健康差异给人类带来的影响显而易见(参见核心信息1及相关参考文献)。
造成这些差异的原因可能是社会因素(如心理压力、经济压力、饥饿、安全威胁等)以及环境因素(如光线、温度、噪音、空气质量等)。
因此,睡眠问题不只是健康问题,更是社会问题。
