Zhu is an investigator and Ph.D. supervisor at the Mental Health Center affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Her research centers on the mechanisms and targeted interventions of affective disorders, using a cross-scale framework linking molecular targets, neural circuits, and behavioral phenotypes, and integrating neuromodulation, pharmacology, single-cell brain mapping, whole-cortex imaging, and quantitative behavioral analysis. Her work has been published in leading journals including Neuron, Brain, Molecular Psychiatry, and Nature Communications, and is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientists Fund, Categories B and C, and General Program) and the Ministry of Science and Technology “14th Five-Year Plan” Key R&D Program (Young Scientist Project).
