On the morning of June 30, 2023, Professor Sun Jing, an academician of the Australian International Institute of Engineering and Technology, was invited to visit Shanghai Mental Health Center (SMHC) for academic exchange. Dean Zhao Min presided over the meeting, and Deputy Secretary Shen Yuan, heads of clinical departments, and staffs from the Disease Control and Prevention Sub-center attended the meeting.

Firstly, Dean Zhao Min extended a warm welcome to Academician Sun Jing and briefly introduced the current development trend of scientific research and clinical practice of SMHC. Subsequently, Deputy Secretary Shen Yuan presented the basic situation of scientific research and education, clinical transformation, and construction planning. Academician Sun Jing showed us the graceful scenery and the advanced infrastructure of Griffith University and then elaborated on her current research fields and future research direction. Academician Sun's research fields include diabetes and mental disorders, chronic diseases, maternal and infant health, artificial intelligence medical transformation, etc., which inspired new ideas of scientific research for the audience.

We had in-depth discussions with Academician Sun on future cooperation, and reached good collaboration intentions in international academic exchanges, teaching and training. After the meeting, Dean Zhao Min gave Prof. Sun a special gift: a painting from a patient in SMHC, and invited her to visit Gallery 600.
