General Psychiatry (GPsych) an English academic journal hosted by the Shanghai Mental Health Center, achieved a remarkable CiteScore of 18.9, according to the latest release from the Scopus database on June 8th of this year. The real-time CiteScore Tracker 2023 even reached an impressive 21.6 score.
Among the 531 journals in the field of Medicine-Psychiatry and Mental Health, GPsych ranks eighth (top 1.5%, Q1) and holds the first position (top 1%, Q1) among the 175 journals in the field of Neuroscience-Neurology.

General Psychiatry, previously known as "Shanghai Archives Of Psychiatry," was founded in 1959 and is the first professional psychiatric journal in China. It is hosted by the Shanghai Mental Health Center and published in collaboration with BMJ Publishing Group.
In May 2019, it was indexed in the ESCI database and is also listed in PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, DOAJ, and CSCD. In 2019, it was selected for the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan.
